Kruger Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa, covering an area of almost 20 000 square kilometres (7 500miles). Kruger is generally considered the most popular game destination in the country.. and for good reason. The big 5 (Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Lion) feature heavily in the park and there is an abundance of bird and plant life to learn about.

Departing Johannesburg at 07:30 for the park. We take a brief pit stop for lunch before arriving and setting up camp. An afternoon game drive is in order! We arrive back to camp to a sunset braai (barbecue) cooked by your guide. Take a load off and enjoy the camp fire as we take in the beauty of the park at night and get ready for the days to come.
We hit the ground running on day 2 at 05:30 with coffee and biscuits before departing for a sunrise game drive in an open top vehicle. We return to camp for a hearty breakfast and some leisure time. Since our main drives are in the morning and evening we'll have some free time during the day. You can lounge around the pool or if you prefer take in as much game viewing as possible. Searching for the BIG 5 is always part of the adventure! Around 16:30 (4:30pm) we'll be on the road again for a sunset drive before returning to camp for dinner.
We depart again early, this time for a guided bush walk, offering us a completely different view of the park. Hungry stomachs will be filled with breakfast at the restaurant afterwards. Once again we'll have some free time during the day to either spend by the pool or take in more game. Many animals are found in the shade during the heat of the day. Today we will have an early dinner as we have a fantastic night drive in an open top vehicle organised! Keep your eyes peeled, many of these animals are not visible during the day.
We enjoy our last breakfast before breaking camp and heading out. As a last prize, we take the panoramic route and visit the stunning Three Rondavels and Blyde River Canyon (one of the largest in the world). We stop by the heritage town of Pilgrim's Rest on our return to Johannesburg. This town is a living museum to the gold rush days of the past. Tour ends.
